This park is one of the original Central Florida tourist attractions and is home to many native Florida animals including panthers, deer, bears, wolves, and alligators. Observation areas are set up along a path that runs next to a green and swampy “river” teeming with alligators. The animals at the Nature Park (excluding the gators) have been rescued or are injured and cannot return to the wild. The people who work here are knowledgeable and are happy to answer questions about the animals in the park. Some of the cages may seem small, but they are clean and are set up so you can get a close-up view of the animals. The entertaining wildlife shows are the main attraction and shouldn’t be missed. The Native American Village replica and show are interesting and are a highlight of the park. A pontoon boat ride on the alligator swamp is also part of the attraction. There is nothing pretentious about the place–just good ol’ Florida fun.
