The Lake Minneola Scenic Trail and the South Lake Trail is 9.5 miles long and runs through some of the highest elevations and scenic views in Central Florida (but none are too difficult – this is Florida after all). The most scenic part of the Trail runs next to the Historic Village of Clermont and along the beautiful shore of Lake Minneola. Clermont Public Beach offers lake swimming, restrooms, picnic tables, and parking. The rest of the trail takes you through urban areas and is popular for triathlon athletes since it connects to the National Training Center in Clermont. It also connects to the 22-mile-long West Orange Trail that runs through Oakland, Winter Garden, and on to Apopka.
