Blanchard Park, a trailhead for the Greenway Trail, is a popular gathering place for skating, biking, and picnicking. The 7.9-mile paved Greenway Trail offers a near-constant view of the Little Econ River with plenty of picnic spots, tennis courts, ball fields, benches, water fountains, and gazebos. Blanchard Park is long and narrow, with the main road and parking areas running through it. This makes it easy to access the Greenway Trail, but the heavy traffic is unpleasant for picnicking and fishing. The park offers year-round environmental educational programs, a covered playground, and canoe/kayak launch areas (not rentals). The YMCA at the park has a café that sells smoothies and sandwiches.
