The Osceola County Welcome Center and History Museum

with No Comments

Through displays, artifacts, and a scavenger hunt, the History Museum at the Osceola County Welcome Center offers a glimpse into Florida’s past and teaches visitors about the diverse eco-systems of Central Florida. You will learn who the native peoples were, the importance of the early cattle industry, and how people lived in the 1800’s in Central Florida. The museum showcases four realistic dioramas that exemplify the area’s animal habitats: swamplands, pine flatwoods, oak hammock, and lakefront. Admission to the museum is free and they offer complimentary sweetened iced tea. (Reservations and fees are required for group tours.)
